Our paper On the Voting Time of the Deterministic Majority Process has been accepted as a brief announcement to the 29th International Symposium on Distributed Computing (DISC) 2015! The brief announcement will be presented in Tokio in October 2015; the full paper can be found on arXiv.

At the conference, I presented our recent results on diffusion based load balancing. Our paper (On Discrete Load Balancing in Heterogeneous Networks with a Focus on Second-Order Diffusion) can be obtained from arXiv. The presentation slides are also available online!
From May 25 to May 29 I attended the IPDPS’15 conference in Hyderabad, India. I also held a talk on Wednesday, May 27, where I presented our recent research in the area of randomized information dissemination. The presentation slides I used in my talk are available online and the paper can be found on arXiv.
I had a pleasant flight since I managed to get a seat with lots of space for my legs. The hotel was nice with friendly staff and good breakfast.
On Tuesday evening we booked a taxi and went sightseeing in Hyderabad.
From April 14th to 16th, I attended the workshop on Random Walks on Random Graphs and Applications at TU Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
